Aug 3rd. ridiculous!

Motorola was way more prepared for this than HTC's release of the Incredible. Granted, I do know Samsung kinda screwed HTC with the screen issues but it ultimately doesn't matter. The wait time on this phone is NOTHING like the Incredible :)
 
Yall all make fun...when/if your devices break, and you have to order a replacement, some of you wont be to damn happy about having to wait weeks to get that replacement. Just remember is all. hell after waiting on a dinc a month and a half and getting to play with a x for 4 days I am content( while a little upset) to wait a week or 2 for my replacement..

Holy over-reaction, Batman! Wow. That was uncalled for. The only "unreal" issue in this thread is how you took a simple, frustrated, one-line post and turned it into a soapbox for your own pet peeves. Sheesh!:(

At least he used his words instead of dropping one line paranoid rants.
 
Look at the bright side- The reason the X was launched when it was is due to the shortage of Incredibles. VZW desperately needed the supply gap filled with a higher end Android device (think $30 data plan) and Motorola was more than happy to step up and deliver :)

Catch is, Motorola did not have time to build up channel supplies to sustain the launch period :(

The August 3rd date is closer to the original planned date. Think of it as some folks got theirs early :)
 
I arrived at Verizon 10 minutes after they opened (9:00) when my rep called me and said she didn't think she could hold one for me and to hurry in. I left just after 1:00 pm. I was number 27 and 28 out of the 30 they had.

It was worth the wait.
