Help Auto brightness and Update questions

Hey guys,

I got myself a P500 couple of weeks back and I'm fairly happy with it. I'm new to the platform so there are a few things I need to get used to! Wanted to ask folks who've used the phone a couple of questions:

1. I run Froyo and vaguely remember seeing an auto brightness option. I probably turned it off thinking I don't need no auto shiz I can decide what brightness I want myself. (I was wrong). But now I can't find that option in Settings->Display or anywhere else! So does this actually exist?

2. I'm on FW version V10C. Is upgrading of any use? I mean what sort of bug fixes are we looking at?

Thanks a bunch!

I might be wrong but I think the Optimus One lacks this feature because it can't support it on hardware.
As an useless addon to my post, my iPod Touch has it and I disabled it, because I hate it hehehhe..

Damn, I was afraid of that. Oh well, you get what you pay for.
I don't think the sensor on my iPod worked anyway, lol, but I spend a lot of time outdoors and this place gets very bright. Would've been nice to have it.

Any idea on the update bit?

Yups, there isnt any option for auto brightness in O1. Although there is this small widget toolbar (called power widget) which let you increase the brighness whenever required. Comes very handy in sunlight and also optimizes the battery when not required.
