Help Auto brightness Issue

Hi all,

I am still using stock ROM. With Auto-brightness on, I found that it is still not getting me full brightness while I am under the sun or in the car. Does anyone see the same thing? The brightness does change so I think the light sensor is probably working.

I think the evo's screen just isn't bright enough or can't handle really bright sunlight. There were a few times I tried to use it under the sun; had to turn it to 100% to sort of see the screen.

But the problem is, I could then turn brightness manually to 100% and that is brighter than if auto-brightness is on...
