auto brightness

how does this work exactly?
I normally have brightnes on 20%
But in the sun it's terrible, and since I can't see the screen, I can't chanc the brightness...
I tryed auto brightness, but it seemed it just stayed at the same strenght in and out the sun

I just added the Power Control widget to a homescreen. It has brightness on there and switch it to full when outside, works fine.

I use auto during the day and the "dimmer" widget available free on the market for night time. This switches between 10% and auto.

Hi
Auto Brightness works fine on mine, just don't do what I did and obscure your camera lense with anything while holding it, as it appears to use the amount of light entering the lense to decide how bright the ambient light is and therefore how bright to adjust the screen.

Good Luck

woops - sorry for the duff info - must have been co-incidence that I covered the front sensors at the same time as I accidently covered the camera lense and it dimmed, making me assume it was the camera lense.
