Help auto correct isnt working

hey guys, since day one my nexus wont auto correct in my web browser. itll do it in texts and emails but thats about it. ive spent literally hours trying to figure this out and cant find anything in the phones settings or browser settings. im using the stock browser, and as far as i can tell everything that needs to be turned on is turned on. short of grabbing a new browser does anyone have any suggestions?

My stock unit was doing exactly the same thing running 4.0.2

Since upgrading to 4.0.4 it has been fine.
