Help Auto Correct? On/Off

I don't know if I am calling it by the right name or not, but is this a thread some where on turning off the Auto Correct, it is killing me. I have to say this is the one feature that is clearly a couple steps back from my Droid.

When I search for information on the Auto Correct on the Esteem I come up dry, does it have another name or something?

Can you turn it off?

Can you add words?

Yes to both. Settings>keyboard and languages>keyboard settings

Uncheck word prediction. Also you can add words by, in the same spot, going to user dictionary and add each work you want.
