Help Auto-Period Help?

How do you turn off auto-period? If I make two spaces, it puts a period.

Go to Settings > Language and Keyboard > select the keyboard you're using to get into that keyboard's settings > uncheck the box for Auto Complete

not sure this is the evo forums. never really played with the incredible s, but i would imagine it is very similar since it is htc. but i would post in the HTC Incredible S - Android Forums for help. folks there will know the answer for sure there.
