Can anyone tell me how to turn off auto space when texting ?

If I wanted a space I'd add it !

Unfortunately with HTC Sense input there is no way to disable the auto-spacing function and by default the "auto period" option is disabled. What is strange is that you are getting an exclamation point, and it is spaced after the word...


The only way you get an exclamation point without long pressing on the "A" is by holding down the "A" and swyping to the left (adds exclamation). I could not manage to reproduce the space & the ! afterwards with the words you were typing. The only suggestions I could give would be to either go into settings>apps>all and clear data and see if that returns the keyboard to normal.


If that does not work I recommend changing to another keyboard like swype or swiftkey. These have advanced options like disable punctuation and disable spacing.

Something else is going on there. No matter what I do I can not get my HTC Keyboard to reproduce this behavior. I would do the above suggestion and see if that returns it to the way it should behave.
