Help Auto rotate issue ?

My auto rotate is not working since the 2.1 update from Orange. I have checked the other posts on this issue in the forum but none of those suggestions help.

I can auto rotate horizontally but it won't auto rotate vertically again. The only way for me to get out of the horizontal rotation mode is to exit to the home screen and go back into the application again !! Not very convenient. I have been putting up with this issue for a few months now but it is really beginning to irritate me !!!

Any ideas ?

I am experiencing the same problem on my Nexus S, with Android 2.3.1. The browser in particular seems to get stuck in horizontal mode.

I have an Orange Hero on 2.1 and it works fine for me. However I find that sometimes you do have to wait a few (up to about 10) seconds before the rotation happens.

Found the solutions under Settings > Display where there is a "Auto-rotate screen" checkbox. Some application must have unchecked it, but now it's working again...
