Help Auto rotate nightmare

2 phones now, same issue. Auto rotate sticks. Power off and on works sometimes to fix. Read up a little and tried some things others have with no results. ATT said they hadn't heard of the problem. Anything new out there for a fix. I'm starting to regret giving up my Aria for this. Other than the bigger screen, can't tell any difference since the Aria got 2.2
 
I have had this same problem since day 1. No apps installed.. If I let it sit for about 5 minutes and come back to it, it works.
 
I never had this issue until i started installing & uninstalling a MASSIVE amount of apps. I think if you really really stress the phone out, it can lock the rotate. It happened to me two times, both in horizontal (wide-screen) mode. A quick restart of the phone fixed it right away. I guess i'd recommend doing that after you excessively mess with your apps.
 
Checked out the HTC website and several other people were having this problem as well. From what I gathered, most people fixed this issue by not using live wallpaper. Once they used a still wallpaper the problem was fixed. I did this and well, I dont have the problem anymore.
 
I had this happen twice, was using skyfire both times when it happened. Just restarted phone and back to normal. Dont know if coincidence though, now i just use the stock browser
 
Well the whole live wallpaper thing didnt work because I am still having this issue! Can someone shed some light on this?
