Yes, it's the wifi causing the problem. When I turn it on and I connect to a wifi network, everything is fine; but when I let the wifi on and no wireless internet network is available it shuts down. So, stop the wifi when you have no network which you could connect at.
I should point out that this is the ONLY situation this happens for me and it happens every time.
Dut to illness I had spent most of my time at home (with wi-fi connection) and the times I did go out, I left wi-fi on and the phone disconnected.
The times I remembered to turn wi-fi off, I didn't get the problem.
Pacjet data makes no difference.
So it appears it is definitely related to searching for a network when none are available.
Turning wi-fi off is a WORKAROUND to me, not a SOLUTION.
