Autokiller not working

Been using this for about 2 months. Recently, it only works for about 2 days and then stops. And for some reason the OS forgets how to do its job and lets memory get really low after AK stops working. I'm usually forced to reboot to gain back what seems like "lost" memory. I'm on a rooted Sprint Hero running CM6.1. Any suggestions?

I posted this in the Apps forum too. Just wanted to see what you guys thought.

Just one: Do not use an automatic task killer.

Android does not manage memory like a Windows based PC would. Using up all of the available RAM is not necessarily a bad thing with Android because it knows what apps and processes to kill to get the RAM needed to run something else.

Auto killer isn't ATK -
It stops things from opening....in lieu of killing running process.

I know android is built to do this by itself....I have read all the arguments...they all make PERFECT sense...however.....my phone is faster after ATK.....

Okay, to each his own. I tried one and it just did not fly well with my setup. ;)

I guess Android 2.3 is built to deal with this sort of stuff better anyway. It is just another reason to update to that. :D

Yeah....I agree....Woudl prefer not to use it....

2.3 Alpha build is nice....you should flash and give it a whirl

The reason I use it is because my phone seems to "lose" memory after about a day or so. The AK keeps me from having to reboot EVERY day.
