Automatic, Stock App Backup?

I have noticed that there are backups to my apps on my SD Card. Oddly, though, I never made them. Does anyone know if this is an added feature from HTC, or is this an android feature? I have, like, 30 User apps backed up, and 9 System apps. I have a 32 GB SD Card, so I don't mind that they are there. They take up over 300 MB, though. Does anyone have information on this?

We might be able to help more if you gave us the directory in your SD card that these backups are located in.

My bad... On the root of the SD Card, it is a folder called "App_Manager"
