automatically change wallpaper with tasker

I downloaded tasker hoping I would be able to automatically change my wallpaper every day, with one of seven wallpapers in a set, but I am completely lost on the tasker interface, profiles, etc.

So, is this possible to do, and how would I go about doing it?

I know it's a bit old - and maybe too late - but it might help others in the same situation.

The task you ask for is in deed possible - there is probably an easier way, but this is how it can be done.

1. Create a new Profile and called e.g. 'Monday'
2. Create context 'Date' and choose Monday
3. Create a new task and chose 'Set Wallpaper' and find the wallpaper
4. And you are set.
5. Now clone the new profile, call it 'Tuesday' - and change the wallpaper in the context.

A hint could be to create image files called 'monday.jpg, tuesday.jpg' and so forth. This way you can identify the files, if you wish to change the images once in a while. All you then need to do is to overwrite the old files - and bam you have a new background.

The above mentioned task can also be done with random images - but I'm not sure how it's done. But this is a help to get you started.

I use tasker to do a lot, but changing wallpapers is not one of them. I use pWall to change my wallpaper every 30 min but you can set whatever interval you want including daily. It is super easy to use.
