Root automatically connect to tether

Here's a question for today: I havent been able to find a way for my laptop to connect to the tether automatically when I turn the tether on. I believe I did when I had it on the EVO 4G, but not this one...yet. Anyone know how to make that magic happen?

Assuming he is wireless tethering, you are correct.

If you are tethering through USB (which I haven't figured out how to do), that doesn't apply.

I use PDA NET 3.50 (USB tether) Don't install # 4+ unless u want to pay or keep getting disconnected

yea its the laptop not looking for the ssid to auto connect, either that or the ssid isnt being broadcast

Laptop sees ssid. "android tether". I swear i checked through all the options in network settings. I'll check again tomorrow.

Had to check the box that says to connect even if ssid isn't broadcasted. THEN the box for 'automatic connection' appears in the WiFi connection status. Right under the ssid name that apparently isn't getting broadcasted but CPU still sees the name. I dunno, seems weird to me. But hell, what do I know.
