Help Autosync

Does anyone know what exactly autosyncs when you have it turned on?

I know gmail and any mail server has its own settings.

I dont need facebook and twitter to update all the time.

Does autosync also send out push notifications?

If I am playing words with friends, will i get a notification that it is my turn if I turn autosync off?

The reason I ask is that from Friday-Monday morning my phone shows that I used close to 200Mb of data. I dont see how that is so.I spent most of saturday at home (wifi) and Sunday I used my phone very lightly as I was with my family all day.

Did my own experimenting.

Facebook and twitter do not auto update with autosync off

words with friends sends notifications with autosync turned off

mail boxes will not sync

battery life is the biggest gain.

If you don't need everything to update ever 30 min or whatever your settings need to be, autosync off will give you tons of batter life
