The leaves have been falling here for the past two weeks. Not because of fall but for the lack of moisture and the excessive heat. I'm not talking a lot of leaves but an unusual amount for this time of year. I love fall and its colors. I hope the leaves hang in there until they turn.

wish we had something like that here in sunny So Cal. Here you can't really tell what season we are in unless you look at a calendar. Unfortunately the palm trees here do not change colors......Lol

As for me, autumn is the best season. You can wear a cozy sweater, make tea and watch your favorite show in the rain

We're in for more 112° temps, and, as @ocnbrze said, we rely on calendars to see which 'season' we're in.

My Bird of Paradise plants, roses, orange and lemon trees, jade plants, and others bloom year-round. But! My mulberry trees do shed their leaves! That's about it, though.

Luckily, my property hasn't been affected by falling ash from any wildfires, but you never know.
