Aux in Car Google Navigation/Music

If I were to plug in my Desire, using the 3.5mm cable, into the Aux input in a car what would happen if I were listening to music through the Desire and using Google Navigation. Does the music get quieter for directions and/or, do both bits of audio come out the speakers.

Thanks for your help

I do this on my SAABS, it works perfectly well, you should try the Dukes Of Hazzard horn app (convertible), it makes my kids hoot with laughter if we do it at traffic lights.

Can't recall if the music volume reduces when the nav voice speaks, I'll try it and let you know.

I recently went on a longish journey with google maps and music playing through my car stereo, the music after every direction would stop and i would have to manually press play again to start it up again.

Anyway long story short i found it is not the navigation that is the issue it's the stock android music player that does not play again after being interrupted.

So i installed another player (Musicplayerpro) and now problem solved, it keeps playing even after it has been interrupted.

Hope this helps.

Cheers Noodles...switched to another free player ....Nova i think it's called and seems to work. Would check out MusicplayerPro as it's got mostly 5 Stars but would like to try before buy :/

You can try everything from the market for free. Just buy it and if you don't like it uninstall within 24hrs for a refund

Music Mod btw is almost identical to the stock player other than some far nicer widgets (all sizes) and it works with Google Nav.

It's free as well ;) you should try it before paying for a music app.
