Root Avoid 2.2.1 upgrade at all costs

Stupid me. I applied the 2.2.1 upgrade to my vortex and now, I cannot root the damn thing! z4root will not run.

What options, if any, do I have? Titanium backup is now hosed, etc.

Damn you, Verizon!

That's where I'm at... crap! I think mine came with 2.2.1 when I got it 4 days ago. root looked like it worked the 1st time but it didn't, on subsequent root attempts it just runs & runs, let it go for 20 mins and nothing.

*UPDATE* I just saw the udate to the previous post. I will try that later and post results.
