Awesome keyboard I'm using on my s3

Yep. Its been perfict so far for me. ;)

My only issue about this and other keyboards are the permissions. Do they really need access to contacts?

The reason it needs access to your contacts is so when you start typing someone's name in it can auto fill it in for you.

I'm currently using SwiftKey and I have to say it's awesome, the auto correct feature is greatly done and the typing can be very fast. Plus, I appreciate that it allows to add multiple languages as sometime I visit foreign forums in my second language. I think I'll stick with it for the time being.

I'm using swiftkey as well, and while I like it much better than the stock keyboard, one issue I have with it is that (unlike the iphone, which I switched from), once it autocorrects, you can't just go back one space and have it revert to what you originally wrote.

Yep, swift key is a great keyboard. It kept me from throwing my phone across the room when I was getting used to the on screen keyboard lol

This other keyboard looks interesting to but think I'll stick with SwiftKey for now. Thanks for the heads up on this one though. More choices are always good :-)

Swiftkey is awesome, but I wish they would move the punctuation key to the other side of the space bar since the S3 is such a big phone. Being a one-thumb right hander it is awkward to change punctuation since it so close to the right side.

whats the difference between this and ICS keyboard?

probably not much...as visually there is not much difference between ICS and JB...

i will say after sending a few messages and tweets this morning that i think the JB keyboard is a keeper...i like my keyboards light and snappy and this is exactly that...

I agree, I have decided to keep JB keyboard. It is plain which I don't mind.

The only downside is unless that the keyboard is very sluggish on handcent. Especially during a popup. I can usually finish my sentence and the keys are still being picked up. Other than that its perfect. I switched to GoSMS and it works fine with that, miss a lot of features from handcent (including my working LED).

:-(

No love for Thumb keyboard? C'mon.

Thumb Keyboard by Beansoft is by far my favorite! Its made by the same dev as the beta jelly bean keyboard everyone is talking about on this thread. It is full of customizations to fit individual needs. The JB keyboard is good too though...everyone should try both of them out...

Swype is the only thing i use i try others but im 3 types faster with less work.... swiftkey is good but is letter by letter and takes time swype is super fast...idk why people love swiftkey so much i had it and its good but aint nothing out of the ordinary.. :p personal opinion though :)

Thanks for this OP, I was looking for a keyboard with similar autocorrect capabilities to my old iPhone (space correction etc) and this fits the bill. Excellent keyboard.
