Help Awful video quality on SGS2

Hi. My first post here. Have had my s2 for a cpl of weeks now, and this phone rocks :) But i can't say the same about the video quality. I captured a clip of a friend of mine flying his model airplane the other day. Captured in 1080p. But the quality is awful. See vid below. The raw file is just as bad. I transferred the file with Kies Air, but that shouldn't do such harm to the quality? Any suggestions?

Hmm, that's not great but you're asking a lot of the camera in that situation. It isn't very bright, but there's a lot of backlight. Small, fast moving subject and massive depth of field. It seemed to manage much better close in.
 
Yeah, i knew it could be challenging for the camera, but i was expecting a bit better than this. Espescially after watching some other clips on youtube. They are crystal clear compared to my clip. But there are not much motion in those clips... Maybe that's the main difference...
 
This doesnt seem to be the best resolution:
go to the camera app, click the settings, and see if video quality is set to superfine.
it might be something else, but its not as good as it should be..

Your clip looks a lot better. Don't know why my sucks. Quality is set to superfine and resolution to 1920X1080. The raw file is 359 mb. It should have been a lot better.
 
have you installed Camera Firmware Update from Samsung Apps store ?? and as above, what firmware are u using atm?
 
I have googled a bit and found this... By dialing *#*#34971539#*#* (PICK THE FIRST OPTION ONLY. ANY OF THE OTHERS CAN F*CK UP YOUR PHONE) you can check the camera/fw version.

Mine is :
- cam/fw version : SCEF02
- phone/fw version : TBEC28

Can anyone tell me if this is the latest version?
 
im not sure which is the last version, but i got:
OCEF02
TBEC28

and a month ago i did install a camera update from the samsung apps,
but i was a couple of day after i got my phone so i didnt notice any difference
