Just ran a benchmark test on my Ascend using AnTutu Benchmark and the score is 764.

is that good or bad?

Reason I ask is because I installed Angry birds today and tried to play it and my phone will not play it at all... Lags so bad.

Any input here?

Did you go into CM settings and adjust the cpu settings to Max 710?
 
Okay so I Dl'd another benchmark app and ran 2 test on each app (2 clocked at 245/600 and 2 clocked at 245/710) and here are the results of both benchmark apps

Note: I have ran about 10 test on each app to build the cache so the app isn't slowing down performance.

AnTutu: Test 1 (245/600)
Memory: 92
CPU Integer: 186
CPU Float: 15
2D Graphics: 143
3D Graphics: 28
Database IO: 70
SD Card Write: (4.3 MB/s) 43
SD Card Read: (10.3 MB/s) 103
Total Scores: 680

Test 2: (245/710)
Memory: 110
CPU Integer: 230
CPU Float: 18
2D Graphics: 144
3D Graphics: 35
Database IO: 85
SD Card Write: (4.4 MB's) 44
SD Card Read: (10.3 MB's) 103
Total Scores: 769

CPU benchmark: Test 1 (Doesn't show all the data as listed above but it has numbers, Lower the number the better)

Test 1: 245/600
4775

Test 2: 245/710

Still can't play Angry birds? But I see other post where others are playing it with no problems? What gives?

No apps running in the back ground that I can find. Anyone know a good app to manage Background apps? Also what about a app to manage RAM?

I installed Watchdog Lite this morning after flashing the new CM7 to watch the system while I burn it up today and it shows (under the Stats tab)

CPU % in Background Android Apps 8.6%
Memory (free/total): 8932 kB / 183140 kB:confused:

EDIT: No speed increase on my SD its just stock (what ever that is )

you on stock, or custom rom...if on custom rom make sure its not install to the sdcard, it has to be install to the phone itself...
