Depends on your definition of "fun". I definitely think it's me but I've never found fruitless conjecture all that much fun. It's the same thing as when people try to figure out who's going to be in an upcoming movie or what it's going to be about. My outlook as always been "wait and see".

Yes, and we had the whole "Chicken Little the sky is falling" business going on because people were worried that the Nook Color would be obsolete. That's why I tend to adopt a more "wait and see" attitude than engage in rather pointless conjecture.

I'd be interested to see what new eReader B&N comes out with, I just sold my NookColor, I enjoyed it, I rooted and had my customer Phiremod on it, it was fun... then ultimately I got bored with it (and got sick of the quircks w/ it here and there). I simply thought to myself...when my rooted/ROM'd EVO is easier and quicker to operate than the Nook, do I really need the Nook? Sold it on eBay.... I'll keep an eye out for this new eReader tho
I like tablets but I'm not willing just yet to dump that kind of cash into one. The Nook Color did a fine job of giving me a taste.

You didn't read far enough, or the right threads. xda is full of ways to do this. I still have to get Appbrain working though.

I guess I can't see getting "bored" with it. It's an ereader, what is there to get bored with? I've been reading on devices with small screens for many years and I can't see going back to doing that now that I have the Nook Color, but to each their own.
