Root Back to Stock for Update- Help!

Done. Still stuck on the M screen. Will a factory reset work?

I see the file he gave you was for .40... I would look for the 2.32.3 update.zip from teamblackhat.. Its floating around. I got it from the app, I know useless for you, you could find it at mydroidworld.com, from your comp try trabsfering it to your sd card. Then samesteps format then mount system.. If not you will need to .sbf with rsdlite...

Waiting to see... got an E: can't open recovery command while in Recovery mode.

Didn't work. Still stuck on the M screen. Panicking...

Actually you need to press and hold the HOME, VOLUME DOWN and then the POWER button. This should take you into stock recovery. From there I would do a factory reset and wipe data. Reboot.

It says it works, but still see that 'E: can't open /cache/recovery/command' message.

After the factory reset and data wipe, reboot still gets stuck on the M screen.

try installing motorolas drivers
USB and PC Charging Drivers - Motorola, Inc. USA
then restart your computer and see if RSD can detect the X

The battery was the issue. I used a friend's fully charged battery and was able to flash the phone. PHEW! Unfortunately, something happened to both the battery and phone during the flash- it won't charge or recognize a new battery as an original motorola (I bought the X extended battery). So Verizon is sending me a new phone.
