Root Back to stock rom without backup?

NicoGev

Lurker
Hi,

I'd like to get the stock rom back on my nexus 4 (for the moment on cm10.2) without backup... In fact I did a backup before putting cm on my device but since then I downloaded many apps and I personalised my phone as well... Actually I don't want to do all this again :s in my backup there's only the stock rom and gapps... Isn't it possible to just download de factory image of Android 4.3.1 on the developer site of Google and then flash it on my phone?
Ps: I'm trying to get back to stock because I'd like to have android kitkat4.4 on it :)
Thanks for your help :)

Assuming I understand you correctly then yes, reflashing the stock ROM is straightforward. You can get the stock ROM from:

https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images

I think you can flash it using the WUG toolkit. I did it by installing the Android SDK and then manually using fastboot from the command line. The stock ROM download helpfully includes scripts for Windows and Linux that will do the reflash for you.
