When Verizon released the Droid a year and a half ago it looked like Verizon had changed its ways. No longer were Verizon customers the absolute last ones to get the latest phones. But just as I was starting to have some faith in Verizon management, they dissapoint again.
Today it appears that Verizon has reverted to being last when it comes to new phones. At&T has a dual core qHD Atrix, Sprint is getting a dual core 3D Evo, T-Mobile is getting the Galaxy S2 dual core phone.
Verizon gets the single core Thunderbolt, the single core LG Revolution and the single core Samsung Charge. We won't be seeing dual core until the Bionic and then it will be months longer before we see a Galaxy S2 variant.
Put that together with the elimination of one year plans and anyone who buys a new phone for the next several months is going to be stuck in a single core phone for two years.
Sure we get LTE, but we are back to being last in getting the newest phones.
I guess Verizon wants to take our money without having to subsidize new phones again.
