Help Back-up and reinstallation to SD card

Hi,

I'm planning to buy a 4GB or a 8GB micro SD card for my phone.
But my concern is, how do i create a back-up of the apps that i have installed in my 2GB memory card and reinstall them to the new SD card?
As the internal memory of the Wildfire S is too less, i have moved almost all possible apps to my SD card which cannot even be moved to the phone's internal memory as there is not enough space remaining :(

Please help me.

I presume you can just copy the contents of the old SD Card to the new one. Despite the majority of the app being installed on the SD Card, there's still a little retained on the phones internal memory so I presume it would link correctly when the new card is used?

I can't be 100% sure though, sorry.

Hmm thanks for your suggestion. I can try it out. But can be confident of what i'm doing if some one who has tried it gives a confirmation :)

Try it and keep the original SD card how it was until you know if it will work or not. That way you should be able to go back to it for a bit if it doesn't work.

If all else fails you can delete the apps, make the switch, then reinstall them. You wold lose your settings that way, but it won't screw anything up.

what about copying the content of the old card to a folder on a computer and then copy that to the new card?
