Help Backing up apps

I submitted this question to the Android Lounge, but haven't gotten a reply yet.

Is there a way to back up your downloaded apps, so that if you reset your phone, or get a new one, you can restore your apps without having to download each one individually?

Thx, but my phone isn't rooted, so that won't work. I downloaded MyBackup and am trying that.

I use mybackup pro. You can back up to sd card and online. I think it cost 4.99 but its well worth it. You also don't have to be rooted to use.
