Backing up Vibrant

I am trying to backup my Vibrant on to my PC. I used to have an iPhone and it was very easy to back up. All I needed to do was plug it in and it would save everything on my phone. Is there a way I can do that with my Vibrant or is there any application/software I can download to make it easy?

If you are willing to root, you get mybackup root for free. It'll back up to the sd cars and you can copy that to your pc if you want. Mybackup pro can backup to their online servers.

I moved from a Windows device and it took me a while to get used to no pc sync or backup. But that's just how it is. Astro File Manager lets you back up your apps (installation files, to be precise) to a SD card though. It's free in the Market too. I've found it a nice way to backup, and store, apps out of the internal memory.

you should also backup your nv_data.bin and efs information.

Nobody had ever told me this was vital to backup, I really don't know how, I'm learning how to do it now, and i'll let you know.

The regular programs, like ROM manager, will not back that info up.

If you lose nv_data.bin you lose the ability to ever unlock your phone even with the correct unlock code.
