Root Backing UP

I just got my htc evo v about two weeks ago. I just rooted it and would like to do a back up, I read somewhere to use Goo Manager from Android Market. Has anyone ever used this app before, or knows of a easier way to boot into recovery? With Goo Manager, I just press boot into recovery and it takes me into recovery mode. Im not too familiar with this recovery, I think I have TwRP 2, I kinda got used to CWM. I go into nandroid menu, then it says backup partition, restore partition, back to menu. I take it that I want to backup partition then? Then it says backup naowz, then it gives me different options to check, like system, data, boot, recovery, cache, wimax, android_secure, compress backup. I want to do a backup just like I did on CWM (saving all my settings, apps, stuff like that), which options do I need to check off? Also, I changed my 4G settings too (for faster 4G), so I would want to check that too, right? Thanks for any help and feedback in this matter.

Don't compress, it takes forever and is not worth it, also, skip cache. Otherwise you have the right idea.
TWRP 2 is good, as is Goo Manager.

Also, don't JUST do a nandroid like that, it can fail, but also, what if you change your rom or phone? You want two backups in case one fails. Look into Mybackup or Titamium Backup and use those too. These will let you not only move to other phones but also provides a backup in case you change phones or roms or in case of a failed nandroid backup.

Thanks Leslie Ann for your reply. I have Tit Backup Pro, can I make a rom backup through Tit Backup?? And if so, how exactly do I do that, Ive never done that before. Thanks again for your help.

I do backup all my apps on tit backup, but can I do a full backup on tit backup just like I would do on CWM on my triumph. This is what Ive never done before with tit backup. If so, is there a step by step guide or maybe a video on how to do this? When I had my triumph, there was a video on how to do a backup, which was extremely helpful. Thanks again.

I have Titanium Backup running nightly and then dropping the files to Google Drive. I also do a monthly Nandroid backup or whenever I update apps like BusyBox or AdAway. These Nandroid are also synced up to my PC so if I ever loose my SD then I'm pretty much covered.

Ok, thanks Leslie Ann for the clarification.

Then it says backup naowz, then it gives me different options to check, like system, data, boot, recovery, cache, wimax, android_secure, compress backup.

When you responded to my first message about my questions, so when I back up, I would just check system, data, boot, recovery, wimax, and android_secure then?? When I would backup on CWM for my triumph, it didnt give me options to check, it said backup or restore, thats it. So, since this is a little different, thats why Im asking. Sorry for so many questions. Thanks

Just system, data, boot, and android_secure.

Recovery you have, it doesn't really retain much data, but even if did, a backup that includes it, is useless... Because if your recovery is toast, you can't get into recovery to restore the backup you have on it.

Wimax you can backup solo, and place it somewhere safe. There is no need to back it up every time.
