Help backlight for control keys.

hey the backlight for the control keys at the bottom does not light up on my wildfire.
here is what i've tried:
1. restarting the phone.
2. adjusting the brightness.

any other suggestions. can someone pls help.

try covering top of screen by htc logo, i noticed all of a sudden my backlight wasn't working but if i covered sensors at the top they came on, the problem turned out to be the screen protector i had put on, when i changed it to another one from the same pack my backlights came back on, i have no idea why that one screen protector had that effect, its a longshot i know but it happened to me.
