Help Backlighting on Menu, Home, Search, Back

Help !!!!! the four symbols of 'home' 'menu' 'back button' and 'search' are not lighting at all but did when I first got my phone. Any help guys would be greatly appreciated.

The backlighting for those buttons only comes on in low light conditions.

Try moving the phone from a well lit environment to a low lit one to see if they light up.

You could try turning the screen brightness off and on to see if that does anything. All apps > Settings > Display > Brightness > check/uncheck Automatic brightness.

If that doesn't solve it, try downloading Sensor Test which tests all the sensors on your phone.

Hi, thanks for your reply. It's crazy as thet first lit when i got the phone, my hubby has the Desire HD and they remain 'on' all the time.

It's no tough titty is it? Mine lights up when it is under the bed sheets and that is all that matters.

Low ambient light is required. Go and put yourself in a cupboard and see what happens!
