Help Backup Assistant - Invalid Service State?!?!?!

Ok...

My Incredible has lost all it's contacts.

Now when I try to manually get them back through backup assistant, I get the Invalid Service State error and it doesn't download.

I have gone to the verizon website and the contacts are there, but when I try to send them to the phone via the website, nothing happens.

Help!

Well,

As no one out here must have or had this issue, I did preform a hard reset (factory reset).

Apparently, the issue was with backup assistant. the program somehow got corrupt and refuse to connect. Once I reset the phone, it worked fine and sync'd up and all my contacts are back.

Just wanted to follow up (in case someone else developes this issue) to let the forum know of the measures I had to take to get back to normal.

Just happened to me within the past few days... sucks that your solution had to be a factory reset, i'll look for something more convenient.

edit:
I just went into the settings>applications>manage applications>all
cleared the data under backup assistant as well as sync service, essentially deleting backup assistant back to stock.
went back to settings>accounts and sync>backup assistant.
and it started syncing again after i put in my pin

Get rid of backup assistant and use google to store your contacts, it's much more reliable.
