even after i did a factory reset, it still shows up as an account. It asked me to enter my pin to verify and i skipped it, but the account still shows up. does this mean that backup assistant will still run?

The backup assistant goes along w the phone #. Even if you do a factory reset, if its the same # it will be signed in as that account.

What exactly are you trying to do? You can disable it in its settings if you dont want it to backup your contacts....

i was trying to remove the whole thing from my phone, i guess the only way to do that is through rooting my phone, which i dont want to do until after the ota update.
