Root backup problems

For some reason I can't backup a ROM or backup apps using titanium backup. what happens in both situations is the backup starts fine and goes about half way then stalls. It doesn't say fail or aborted. It just hangs up.

Things you can try:

1. Fix permissions in rom manager
2. Uninstall, reinstall TIBU. Might lose settings.
3. Check your sdcard for problems
   1. Right click on the sdcard when plugged into your computer, choose properties, then from tools menu, check the disk for errors
   2. Or try above when connected to computer via usb.
4. Copy your Titanium Backup folder to your computer to back it up. Then go to settings... applications... manage applications... find TIBU there. Clear data, clear cache. Will lose settings.
