Backup Rom with Home Screens

Is there a way to backup my homescreens so that if I install a different rom I can still have my home screens setup with all my apps and widgets how I like?

Also, is there an app to backup my apps with all the data. I keep having to input my login and passwords again for Flyscreen and Lookout and I'd like to have my text messages backed up as well.

I can make the backup. But what I want to do is grab a new rom with the multitouch browser because I don't like working with ADB and then automatically have my home screens saved and my apps come back from a restore.

If all you want is the multitouch browser (without ADB), there is a much easier way. Use root explorer. I assume you are rooted, yes?

Yea I have root explorer. I tried there by deleting browser.odex and then putting the browser.apx into system/app and limwebcore.so into system/lib

and my browser icon disappeared and I was out of luck.

Does anybody have an answer to this? I'd like to switch between roms and not have to redo my home screens each time.
