Help backup stock os to sd card

If been away from the forum for awhile so excuse this noob please . can anyone tell me how to backup the stock os to the external sd card . that's all I have left to do to install cm 10.2. and I am drooling toget it loaded

This is an "all things root" question. You'll need to do a couple steps before you can install CM10.2. The short version is this:

1) Root the phone, and install bootstrap CWM
2) Unlock the bootloader
3) Install CM10.2 (or any other 3rd party ROM)

Both rooting and unlocking the BL are tricky for this device. The process is almost the same for both, but unlocking the BL has more steps.

Thanks. There is as 30 min video on YouTube I keep watching infill I get comfortable going at it. Off subject are you going to make a Miui Rom for theL9? Please.
