I have tried a couple things to back up apps, etc, and that's fine, but I would like to be able to back up app data as well, and if possible, just back up the whole freakin thing like when I do an 'image' backup in the Windows world on regular computers. Is this possible.....is that what ROMs are all about, and do I have to root my phone in order to get this level of backup capability?
I don't need help with backing up e-mail, contacts or calendar, because that's all handled in some other way ---> The e-mail accounts are all on the servers and I connect to them via either IMAP or Exchange client, or gmail, and the contacts and calendar are synced with the Exchange server.
So, all I'm talking about here is backing up the stuff that's actually part of the phone, liek apps, app data, system configuration settings, etc.
