Root Backups and flashing advice

Hi guys,

Im not sure if you can, but i have to identical phones (A8181's) i want to know if i can restore a backup from ROM Manager to the new phone even though it has never been used? kind of like flashing the backup as if it where a ROM. That way i will have all the same apps and settings etc as on the other phone... Cloning i guess you'd call it hehehe

Any ideas on this one?

If they both use clockwork recovery (recommend using cwm recovery flashed with unrevoked NOT Rom manager.... ever) and they both have the same erase size, then yes
