Root Bad battery life, should I replace it with another?

Hi all. I have read everything I could on getting battery life better. Manual syncing, brightness set to 30%, wifi, gps and all that is off, etc. No emails syncing just once a day. No bad apps killing battery, Every battery thing that could be done is done.

Yet I still get terrible battery life! Maybe its just the 4g killing it, but geez.

I'll paint a picture here: Charger came off, phone has been on just 1 hour, 15 min, 2 seconds on battery. display has been on for 24m and 25 seconds.

Only 3 small voice calls were made. Voice calls 30m and 35 seconds.

I am at 75% battery life according to quick settings. This is ridiculous. I cannot get this phone to last at all. I love the phone but hate the battery life. I just got this phone 2 days ago. Is this normal for the samsung galaxy s2 skyrocket?

I called and asked att and they said that wasn't normal and to swap it out. Thing is, I have 89 apps installed and got the phone just the way I like it etc. I really do not want to have to do this stuff all OVER AGAIN. I will though if it means better battery life. I triple checked, no apps are constantly running. So I am not sure what it is. I do not use a task killer, I use go launcher and it shows running programs as well as the built in task manager that comes with it.



EDIT: I decided to buy this extended battery on amazon. Will post back and let everyone know how it performs.

EDIT: I decided to buy this extended battery on amazon. Will post back and let everyone know how it performs.

Downlaod Titanium Backup(free) back up to your micro SD card, exchange phone, put card into new phone, download TB again and run restore. Takes about 10 min total.

Also go into Facebook and make sure notifications are off(they are on by default)

I bought an extended battery, didn't feel like redoing everything. Ya thanks I turned off the fb notifications and all that. I will see if the extended battery helps. If not I still have 15 days to exchange it if I keep having issues.

Holy crap its been on 18 hours and 30 minutes and still has 40% battery life left yet. I freaking love extended batteries! Anyone having battery woes, get it. Seriously. Adds very little extra thinkness on, and it is so worth it.

Are you still liking this battery? I bought this off ebay ebay meh battery It was cheap and isnt much better than my stockie. Im not sure about pulling the trigger on one of those Sedio batterys because I dont have a extra 60 bucks right now
