Help Bad Battery Life

I have the Nero v5 rom and i flashed it at 100% and after i let it run down and i charged it while off, i wiped the battery stats. In the past 5 minutes my battery has dropped 3% just from texting. I have brightness all the way down and i have my task manager on auto kill. Is it going to take a little bit after flashing for the battery life to improve? Because i remember with my behold 2 it took a few days to get better.

You might try a "soft reset" - shut the phone off, remove the battery, reinstall, then restart the phone. After my update to Froyo I did this and it dramatically improved the battery performance.

I haven't had the same luck with froyo ... in fact it seems worse now that atk can't function the same... did you upgrade to froyo with kids or root and install a rom. I just wonder if rooting my phone would help battery life at all...

I used Kies Mini and my phone is stock. Good luck.

Use an apps that reads out battery voltage.

GPSstatus reads out battery voltage. >4.15v is 100% fresh off charger. 3.85v is about 50% but depends on battery loading.

If you run through the battery until you get to about 3.6v then recharge it should recalibate the battery indicator bar.
