Bad Battery life?

I flashed cm10.1 wild for the night like i said in one of my previous post but the battery life is awful, im losing battery percentage within a few minutes, is it suppose to drain like that with these roms? Or does anyone else know if it'll eventually get better after a few days? otherwise it seems like ill be heading back to stock
 
i too am experiencing bad battery life on the new tbsgs3 gb27 rom. its not the rom in my case. its the modem. the modem is really good. i live just outside wimax coverage. this modem gives me wimax from time to time. never before have i picked this up in the house gb08 didnt do that. battery get shot always looking for 4g
 
I share that pain too. With 2 VS840, one running stock 2.3.6, the other running CM10 A3. 4 Hours later, the 2.3.6 one still had 96% of battery, the CM10 one had 83% battery left.
Both phones did nothing but standby with wifi signal on.
 
First thing turn off 4g when not using it (unless you are actively streaming video 3g should be enough). Next, if in a poor signal area, try to use WiFi if available. A phone in a weak signal area will use a lot more power looking for that signal.
 
The thing is i have wifi and 3g off, and yet i still lose some battery while in sleep mode, but it's gotten better today so im thinking it's just because of a recent flash? I have no idea though
 
In some occasions you have to let your battery die out first, Then charge it.
Battery readings aren't 100% accurate. The OS just guesses how much juice the battery has left.
 
I used to have bad battery life. Not anymore:D

Lol try it on any aosp rom. Your lucky to break 9 hours without touching the phone. And I had 3 hours screen on time which is less than usual for me but if u think about it 3 hours is a long time to be on your phone.

Well I can't say it's necessarily the battery because I still use the stock one with similar results. I think the aosp roms were my problem. Tw roms have far better battery life. Plus im running the nos tweak. I'm on ftw gb27 Rom but I think all tw roms just get better batter

I love the aosp roms but they seriously need to fix the annoying bugs they have. Like battery. Low speaker volume. Crappy video playback quality. Crappy cam and vid quality. Things that after a day of loving the features send you running back to tw
