Help Bad call quality

Hadesdude

Newbie
Hi,

I don't usually call alot, and the problem didn't always appear, but it seems to worsen over time (which leads me to think it's a hardware problem, but I hope not, since I want to sell it to get some better phone).

Many times when someone calls me, job centers included, or when I call them, call quality is poor. That is, there seem to be some parts that don't get through.
Yesterday it even cut connection twice!

The first time it appeared was after a "system upgrade" when I just couldn't wait for Android 4.3.1 anymore and went for CyanogenMod 10.2, which is the last stable version.

Problem is, I accidently erased the former Android OS (4.1.2) back in december so I can't revert to it to try it out...

So the final question is actually if it could be due to the CyanogenMod or not?

Thanks in advance!

Nope, I'm a Mobile Viking (using Base's network in Belgium).

Update on the situation: a friend came by, inserted my microSIM into his phone (a Samsung S4 I think) and called another friend with it. Quality was perfect in both ways.
So it's pretty definitely something with the phone... :/

Oh, sorry to hear that. Maybe the manufacturer could send an update to the firmware but I have no idea if they would.

Oops, just reread your op and saw cyanogen - they update pretty regularly. Can you go to a more recent release?

I would love to, but the update from last December is still the last one (the CM itself dates from September 2013, so it seems). Maybe Xperia T is starting to get outdated and unappealing or something. However I could go for a less stable release but knowing that it crashes more often, I'm hesitant...
(They are the Nightly versions, according to Settings > About Phone > CyanogenMod Updates)

I have CM 11 on my OPO and it seems pretty stable. ETA: But I don't know anything about ROM flashing and that it's possibly phone/model specific. I dunno, I'd try a nightly then just to see.

So ok.
Phone has succesfully been updated to Android 4.4.4 using the very latest Nightly ROM.
I called that friend again and it was clear... should've tested it with him before though, but if tomorrow is still great then the problem is solved ^^
