Bad publcity from a Popular tech site I hope this update comes soon.

I use 4g and voice all the time. Works flawlessly in so cal. I was in nc where the reviewer lives and got terrible recption there.

I wouldn't say he has a lemon. the radio issues are there, but the update should fix them. i had radio issues just like he did, but the 4.0.4 radios helped a lot.

the battery is also an issue, its not terrible, and with some tweaking it can actually be one of the better LTE phones for battery life. but lets be honest, most people that type in "galaxy nexus review" into google are not going to be rooting and Rom-ing and flashing radios and such.

at the very least, there should be something about the update or maybe an 14days after the 4.0.5 update hits just to let people know that the phone has been "fixed"

This issue the reviewer is speaking to is not that uncommon. My wife and I both got Nexi last week and mine is great, no issues whatsoever, but hers is exactly as this reviewer says. Can't hold a call, frequent text sending/receiving issues, battery drained in 4 hours without even using the device. She returned and got a Rezound. Just sayin. I love mine but there are issues out there.

Don't know what's wrong with his Nexus, but he doesn't seem to like Nexus overall. He didn't like the first GSM one he reviewed either for things like laggy rotation, lags with live wallpaper, etc. Strangely he seems to like other samsung phones like SGSII, Note on at&t without much issue.

Phonedog was one of my favorite, but their review quality as of late seems to be going downhill with many nitpickings, biases.

Well, after 3 NEW Nexus exchanges, my signal problems are still there, 4.04 radios made NO discernible difference. My problem is with ability to actually MAKE A CALL in a fully saturated verizon area. Inside a store, NO signal bars. In my house..barely ONE. This is showing -120dbm on the meter. All three of my phones had this behavior with all versions of the radios, rooted and romed or stock. Right next to these phones, my Droid X always has signal -83dbm average, I wouldn't care, but many calls go direct to voicemail when this is the case, and I can't make outgoingi calls.

I keep seeing people say this, and it just seems wild to me. I have the same device I got initially, live in a kind of dodgy signal area (the signal showing on my battery screen is almost always yellow/dull yellow) and I have never dropped a call.

I personally haven't experienced any one of his problems. Could it be his area that he is in? He could have a lemon of a phone? I don't know and lots of tests would be needed to check, but what I can say is I feel bad for him that he doesn't get to experience the great phone that I know I have.

There are definitely some quality control issues with the Galaxy Nexus. Hopefully the software update will correct the majority of issues that people are having.

I find it very odd that someone who does phone reviews wouldn't question such issues with the phone. I can understand him commenting on them when he is doing his "challenge", but not talking to Verizon or Samsung and seeing if he doesn't just have a bad phone doesn't make any sense. I'm sure either company would be more than happy to help out instead of causing negative press and he would be doing Nexus owners a service by finding more information on the problems he is having. At the very least he may be able to get a more informed timeline for the update. Poor reporting IMO.
