Help Bad signal = drained battery ?

Did you stick it to the inside of the cover right up by the antennas? Has it affected your GPS (if it even worked in the first place)?

I've tried a few 4 different spots and it seems to get the same minor improvement in signal in 3 of the 4 spots I tried. Do you have a diagram that shows the exact location of the antenna? I'm thinking that some thin copper wire might be more effective.

The GPS does not work better or worse than before

I was just thinking about those squares under the battery cover. "G" "R2" "R1". I'm thinking they stand for GPS and the Radios.

I know I have one of those antenna boosters somewhere around the house (came with a cphone case long ago), just have to remember where.

I have seen some discussion on those but I'm not 100% sure the antenna starts or ends at any of those points. Funny that when I ptu the little sticker on vertically under the battery on that side of the phone there was no effect but when I put it horizontally in 3 different sorts I got the tiny signal increase. For that reason I'm thinkign the antenna is on both sides.

Just for kicks I fired up the smoda widget this morning at work and with the data connection off my battery is still at 40% after almost 24 hours off the charger.

yes, those g r1 r2 are the antennas.

if you're looking at the back of the phone, they travel across and up the right side.

that little sticker thing should be made of copper. the idea is it helps break up/discharge the static that surrounds the phone, which disrupts the signal. they don't work wonders, but they help a little.
a 3 -5 db gain would be all that should be expected.

My battery life solution came with flashing DL05 (2.2 rom). Phone lasts all day long with weak signal and just about all weekend with a good signal and light use.
