Banking Websites

Hi,
I am hopefully purchasing 2 desires tomorrow (if Telus releases them )

I know there isnt much for banking apps here in Canada, but can Android browser browse to and log into canadian banks? I use Scotiabank and PCFinancial if that helps.

The reason I wondered is because back about 10 years ago some bank sites wouldn't work with certain browser because of not strong enough encryption available. I am not sure where android (or any smartphone) is in terms of this.

If anyone has experience connecting to, and logging into these sites that would be nice to know.

I'm not in Canada I'm in the UK but I use banking sites no problem through my Desire's browser.

It all depends on what the bank log in page contains. I also know that some banks have made apps for their customers to facilitate easy mobile banking. A few European banks for example Nordea , for one has an app in the app market. Ask your bank, they have an IT department that will answer your questions.
