Banned from Live Chat, first time ever trying to load?

Hey guys,
I'm new here to the forums, and just registered tonight. I also attempted for the first time ever to use the Live Chat, to join the androidforums channel and it gave me the MOTD then told me I was banned?? Does anyone know why this happened or how to get the ban reversed? I have never used it before and as soon as the MOTD loaded I got the following..

#androidforums Cannot join channel (+b) - you are banned

Can anyone help me resolve this?

Are you using the "Chat Live" link at the top of this page?

I'd suggest a real IRC client instead of the Java one built into the website.

Personally I like X-Chat 2

Yes, I was trying via the Java chat from the link above. I was able to access other channels through that link but not this channel. I will try from mRIC and see if that works. Do you happen to know the server info that I would need to plug in? Thanks! (Although I am thinking the ban may need to be lifted before I would be able to join even if a use a client all)

Yeah I just tried with the app you recommended and it still has me banned I think I need a mod to unban me. Do you know who I would make that request to? Thanks!

Hey guys I have sent a PM to Phases as advised, however I have not heard back from him and I am still banned. Does anyone know who else to try and contact to have this ban resolved? Again, I should not be banned as I am new here and should have no reason to be banned. Can anyone please advise what else I can do?

Again, I should not be banned as I am new here and should have no reason to be banned.

It's nothing personal, enduser. You've probably been assigned an IP address by your internet provider that was previously used by a troublemaker who got banned. Sorry for the inconvenience but unfortunately these things happen.
