Root barnacle wifi help..rooted 2.2

Hope someone can help me. My Windows 7 laptop seems to find the barnical network, but when I connect it doesn't seem to work. Any ideas?

If you are rooted then go download Wireless Tether for Root from the market. It is way better and free.

Yea I tried that as well but couldn't get it working....it says something about needing a specific kernel, im just rooted stock 2.2, noroms etc. So would I have to find this kernel?

no you don't need a special kernel if you are on 2.2, go here and download it, NOT from the market, the market version only allows ad-hoc connections, this version allows your phone to be set up as a true Wi-Fi Hotspot, just download to your sd card and install

i use pre 8 and have never had an issue, haven't tried pre-9 but assume that will work also
