Root Base de-odexed ROM

I am not into theming and stuff like that, but I thought I would make you guys a base ROM that you can start modding, theming, de-bloating and all that stuff.

I spent a good amount of time on this, so if you use this ROM or the install script in your ROMs, I would like to see my name mentioned in your OP

If you install this ROM, it will format your system partition, extract the system folder to it, create the needed symlinks, and set the proper permissions

It will not wipe your data or cache partitions, so you may want to do a factory reset in CWM before you install it.

985hPaKicK 2nd init recovery


This ROM will take a long time to boot the first time or after a factory reset since it is de-odexed (all de-odexed ROMS do) After first boot, it should be normal.


I tested it pretty thoroughly, but I would like if some of you can test it as well.

It is a pretty big file it is 573.7 MB


Install with 985hPaKicK 2nd init recovery

well could be that an odexed rom is faster, but you can not theme it and De-compile the framework and stuff


I did not do any tweaks or anything, just the de-odex and zip align

the majority of the time was spent on getting the installer script with all the right symlinks and permissions

it is just a base ROM, for others to work off of, eventually some one will make a rom using it and they will theme it, de-bloat it, tweak it, and all that good stuff

IMA Uot the sh+t out of this in the morning. With added ish. I'm so great ful for cretinoid. I read all your posts. God bless you and all devs. I'm just an old skool themer and gimp guy. Quick Q. How do I add on and off sound. I can't get it to work.
 
Ha you beat me to the base rom! I started it but got sick (literally throwing up all night). Guess ill pickup working off this rom with credit to you :-)
