Root baseband and ril match

hey guys,

iv recently changed my baseband and must say i see much better improvements,

wot i would like to know is it a must to match the ril, i was reading over on another forum that you really shouldnt change your ril, but its fine to change your baseband,

now i was under the impression you should always match your baseband and rill for best performance and good battery life ???

If things are good, then I wouldn't mess (unless you have a copy if the til that you are currently on and can go back if things aren't as good if you change)

im finding battery usage is more with the bb and ril mismatched
